Who we are
The Pulpmx.com website and services.
Data we collect, why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
PulpMX Mobile App
This section explains how the PulpMX mobile app (including our iOS app on the Apple App Store) handles your information. It is in
addition to the website policy above; where the two differ, this section governs your use of the app.
The PulpMX app does not require an account. We do not ask for your name, email address, or any login to use it.
Information the app collects
Device identifier. The app uses a device-generated identifier provided by your operating system (on iOS, Apple’s
“identifier for vendor”). We send this to our servers to power features such as the in-app game leaderboard and to understand, in
aggregate, how the app is used. This identifier is not your name and is not linked to a real-world identity. We do not use it for
advertising, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Push notification data. If you turn on notifications, we use OneSignal (a third-party service) to deliver them.
OneSignal receives a push token and basic device information needed to send notifications to your device. You can turn notifications off
at any time in the app or in your device Settings.
Usage data. The app records limited in-app activity — for example, which sections you open and your interactions with
member features and partner flash sales — so we can see what’s working and improve the app. This is tied to the device identifier above,
not to your identity.
Subscription status. If you subscribe to PulpMX+, your payment is processed by Apple, not by us. We never receive or
store your card or payment details. We only receive confirmation from Apple of whether your subscription is active, so the app can unlock
member features.

unlock member features.
Information stored only on your device
Your downloads, saved episodes, clips, listening progress, and listening stats are stored on your device and are not sent to us.
Deleting the app removes this information.
Information we do NOT collect
We do not collect your name, email, or contacts; we do not collect precise location; we do not access your photos, microphone, or
health data; and we do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
Who we share data with
- OneSignal — push notification delivery. Privacy policy: https://onesignal.com/privacy_policy
- Apple — app distribution and subscription processing. Privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
- Our hosting and server infrastructure, used to operate features like the leaderboard and to receive the usage data
described above.
We require these providers to protect your data to a standard at least equal to the protections described in this policy, and we do not
sell your personal information.
How long we keep app data
We keep the limited usage data and device identifier associated with the app only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete
or aggregate it. Data stored on your device remains until you delete it or remove the app.
Your choices and how to delete your data
- Notifications: turn them off any time in the app or in your device Settings.
- On-device data: delete the app to remove your downloads, saved items, clips, and listening history.
- Server-side data: to request deletion of the usage data and device identifier associated with your device, contact
us at pulpmx.com/contact and we will erase it.
Children
The PulpMX app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If
you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
