  2. It’s kind of funny reading these retrospect articles. Sometimes the magazines were all over the board, but other times they all agreed on what bike was the best. They all loved the 86 CR 125, , SO my buddy bought one. He had been getting hole-shots in the B class for 2 years on his 84 RM 125 against the supposedly faster Kawasaki 125s, and his bike was stock except he milled the head and ran Boyesen reeds. He sold it to buy the highly praised 86 CR, and then complained that it was slower, and had worse suspension. Gearing it down helped some, but he really missed that old RM.
