Just Short Vol.4 #14

With all this Star Wars talk, Johnny Jelderda sounds very “Star Wars-esk”.

The name Dylan reminded me of Road House, and then I realized the name I was thinking of was Dalton, so never mind.

I sound like a broken record and I don’t care.  If you are a professional rider trying to market yourself, don’t make your Instagram private, please.  Help me, help you.

Like Jelderda, I owned a Ranger for a long time so I’m feeling that, and like Bauer, I also have a mom, dad, and sister.  So, I have a lot in common with these guys if I ever bump into them at the bar and need to make small talk.

Jelderda’s pic is for show, and Bauer’s pic is speed…both solid.

@Toritorcello is prominently posted throughout Jelderda’s timeline, I’m not cumplaining.  Her page is also private which I’m ok with, rider’s girlfriends and wives get a lot of haters for no reason.  This was the only real picture of a girl in Bauer’s timeline, not that there is anything wrong with that.

Do people still call this BMX, or is it called something else now?  The size of the man-made dirt jumps has always scared the hell out of me, how do you know how fast to hit the face of a jump that is 10’ straight up on a bicycle?  I would love to see a pic or video of Bauer launching into this pond.

Gotta give your sponsors some love.  I tip my hat to Jelderda, the colors really pop in his picture.  Those must be farm fresh eggs to be that yellow, or it’s a filter.  Bauer does a decent job of displaying the amazing Fly product line, but there is some room for improvement there.

Thanks to cell phones and GoPros, we get a lot of close up pictures, but most of them suck, out of frame and focus.  But both these are nicely done.

I’m curious who took this picture of Jelderda just unknowingly staring off into the distance.  Bauer is topless in a cowboy hat and chaps in front of a Christmas tree…it’s awesome.  I know what my Christmas card theme is going to be for next year.

Remember a world before selfies?  I can’t wait to explain this to my children someday; “when I was a kid, you couldn’t take a picture of yourself, and we had to walk uphill to school in the snow both ways”.

Jelderda isn’t really dressed up here but whatever he’s done it’s working.  Bauer will have to explain what an ABC party is, damn I’m getting old.  I can only assume the twister costume is rigged to always land on red.
