Moser– Don’t call it a cumback.
So Larry Brooks is making his return to racing it was only a matter of time. Working in moto is like working for the mob, as soon as you think you are out they pull you back in. I’m not biased about Brooks it’s not like he ran his last team into the ground leaving my favorite rider Andrew Short without a ride at the beginning of the Supercross season with a contract in hand that’s only practical use was to wipe his ass with. Nope not biased at all. Looking back at Brooks career as a team owner/manager he’s gotten results but not without leaving a path of destruction and jaded riders that would rival any jealous ex girlfriends (Shorty, Reed and Stew cum instantly to mind). So Brooks is back butt what does it all mean?
Swizcore– I knew you’d jump all over this topic with the same intensity you would if it were doused in… well, anything with a scent of alcohol on it. I hear where you’re coming from and I gotta say, while I feel your pain, I couldn’t be more excited about the return of Larry Brooks to the pits of Supercross! He’s like all of the best WWF and WWE fictional plots and drama rolled into one guy. I know it’s almost sacrilege to mention Christmas before Thanksgiving but Larry returning to Supercross is like combining turkey-day and Jesus’ birthday into one juicy Supercross cornucopia feast! I just might have surpassed my monthly allotment of exclamation points in this short paragraph but I CAN”T HELP IT!!
BROOKS IS BACK!
Moser– You sound like the type of person that decorates their house for Christmas in September (which should be against the law, butt I digress). I think you’re counting your chickens before they hatch. Tell me if you have ever heard this before “A new team is getting put together, big sponsors, A list riders, and team personal”. This is the most common rumor in moto and rarely cums to fruition. Since Brooks was exiled he’s been rumored to be “starting a new team” every year. This is right on par with the boy who cried wolf so don’t wear out the exclamation button on your keyboard quite yet, the odds are against him and the smart money is betting this “new team” never makes it past 1st base.
Swizcore– While there are certainly 1 or 10 instances of Larry Brooks’ integrity being brought into question in the past, I don’t think LB gets in touch with Mr.Matthes to indicate he’s coming back unless he really is coming back. He certainly knows guys who have the money to make another resurgence with a top notch program… for a few rounds anyway. Ouch.
Honestly, I really am looking forward to LB being back in the pits. At this point the biggest reason is the simple fact that he has bad blood with so many people who are still in the pits, there’s bound to be some peripheral tension at least and maybe some good ole fisticuffs on the high end of entertainment.
LLL (Long Live Larry)!
