Can’t believe the 2026 Supercross season is almost here! I feel like this offseason has absolutely flown by with all the offseason races. This should be a great season of racing coming up and there is a lot of records and milestones to look out for in 2026!
I’ll first show the 450 class and then the 250 class. The 250 class is really interesting as now that RJ Hampshire and Jordon Smith are in the 450 class, there aren’t many active 250 riders at the top of various statistical lists/records. There is a lot of space for the current active riders to move up though.
I’ll show some tables of the stats I am mentioning and then have some information on riders not shown in the tables as well. Active riders will be in bold.
450 Class

| Rank | Rider | Starts |
| 1 | Chad Reed | 265 |

| 5 | Larry Ward | 190 |
| Justin Brayton | 190 | |
| 7 | Eli Tomac | 184 |
| Kyle Chisholm | 184 | |
| 9 | Justin Barcia | 179 |
| 10 | Jeremy McGrath | 173 |
| 11 | Heath Voss | 165 |
| 12 | Ken Roczen | 162 |

| 14 | Jason Anderson | 161 |
| 15 | Davi Millsaps | 151 |
| 16 | Andrew Short | 142 |
| 17 | Cooper Webb | 140 |
| 18 | Ryan Dungey | 134 |
| 19 | Damon Huffman | 133 |
| 20 | Dean Wilson | 132 |
Active riders in bold.
- Eli Tomac should move into 4th all-time in starts this year. He needs just 7 to pass Larry Ward and Justin Brayton for 5th and then 9 to pass Nick Wey for 4th all-time. Tomac could also hit 200 starts in his career if he races 16 of the 17 rounds.
- Justin Barcia could find himself 5th all-time or even 4th all-time if Tomac were to suffer an injury. Barcia sits at 179 and could easily surpass Wey, Ward and Brayton.
- Ken Roczen and Jason Anderson could move up the rankings as well and be in the upper 170s.
- Malcolm Stewart needs just two more starts to match his brother James Stewart in career starts. Malcolm sits on 121, James at 123.
- Aaron Plessinger will likely get over the 100 starts mark this year, he is currently at 94.

| 20 | Andrew Short | 1,905 |
- There are currently 5 active riders in the Top 10 of the all-time points standings: Eli Tomac, Ken Roczen, Jason Anderson, Cooper Webb and Justin Barcia. Five years ago, after the 2020 season, none of these riders were in the Top 10 – Tomac was 11th. After that, only Ken Roczen was even in the Top 25! Lots of movement in the last 5 years!
- Eli Tomac needs 163 points this year to move into second all-time and pass Mike LaRocco. If healthy, this should be very easy for Tomac.
- Roczen will likely remain in his spot at 6th.
- Ryan Dungey could find himself going from 7th, down to 10th this year.
- Jason Anderson just needs 44 points to surpass Dungey.
- Cooper Webb just needs 64.
- Justin Barcia needs 150. If healthy, this should be fairly easy for Barcia to achieve.
- Interestingly, there are no active riders in the 11-20 range. In fact, there isn’t any in the 21-30 range either! Malcolm Stewart is next at 31st right now.
Starts
| Rank | Rider | Wins |
| 1 | Jeremy McGrath | 72 |
| 2 | Eli Tomac | 53 |
| 3 | James Stewart | 50 |
| 4 | Ricky Carmichael | 48 |
| 5 | Chad Reed | 44 |
| 6 | Ryan Villopoto | 41 |
| 7 | Ryan Dungey | 34 |
| 8 | Cooper Webb | 30 |
| 9 | Rick Johnson | 28 |
| 10 | Bob Hannah | 27 |
| 11 | Ken Roczen | 23 |
| 12 | Jeff Ward | 20 |
| 13 | Damon Bradshaw | 19 |
| 14 | Kevin Windham | 18 |
| 15 | Jeff Stanton | 17 |
| Mark Barnett | 17 | |
| 17 | Chase Sexton | 16 |
| Jean-Michel Bayle | 16 | |
| 19 | Jason Anderson | 14 |
| 20 | Ezra Lusk | 12 |
| David Bailey | 12 |
- Pretty crazy to think if Eli Tomac won every race this year he would still be two behind Jeremy McGrath all-time. I think MC’s record is safe. The only way I see McGrath’s record at risk is if the season expands beyond 17 races and has 20+ in the future.
- Cooper Webb needs 5 wins to surpass Ryan Dungey for 7th all-time.
- Ken Roczen would need 5 wins to move into the Top 10, passing Bob Hannah.
- Chase Sexton could work his way up, especially with Jett Lawrence’s injury.
- If you’re wondering where Jett Lawrence sits, he currently has 9 wins – 26th all-time.

| 5 | Ricky Carmichael | 87 |

| Ken Roczen | 76 | |
| 9 | James Stewart | 75 |

| 14 | Jason Anderson | 53 |
| 15 | Rick Johnson | 51 |
| 16 | Marvin Musquin | 50 |
| 17 | Chase Sexton | 45 |
| 18 | Ezra Lusk | 40 |
| 19 | Johnny O’Mara | 40 |
| 20 | Bob Hannah | 39 |
- With 10 Podiums, Eli Tomac could surpass Jeremy McGrath for second all-time.
- Cooper Webb needs 6 podiums to move into 6th all-time, passing Mike LaRocco. If Webb get 12 podiums this year, he will pass Ricky Carmichael for 5th all-time.
- Same figures apply for Ken Roczen.
- With a 10+ podium season, Chase Sexton could move up to be right outside the Top 10.
Laps Led since 2003
| Rank | Rider | Laps Lead Since 2003 |
| 1 | Eli Tomac | 1,007 |
| 2 | James Stewart | 921 |
| 3 | Chad Reed | 817 |
| 4 | Ken Roczen | 794 |
| 5 | Ryan Villopoto | 735 |
| 6 | Ryan Dungey | 672 |
| 7 | Cooper Webb | 496 |
| 8 | Chase Sexton | 486 |
| 9 | Ricky Carmichael | 419 |
| 10 | Jason Anderson | 321 |
| 11 | Marvin Musquin | 303 |
| 12 | Kevin Windham | 280 |
| 13 | Jett Lawrence | 201 |
| 14 | Justin Barcia | 153 |
| 15 | Davi Millsaps | 142 |
| 16 | Trey Canard | 92 |
| 17 | Cole Seely | 88 |
| 18 | Justin Brayton | 79 |
| 19 | Aaron Plessinger | 68 |
| 20 | Adam Cianciarulo | 67 |
The laps led data only dates back to 2003. I would love to have it before that, but lets compare since 2003.
- Ken Roczen needs 24 laps led to surpass Chad Reed for 3rd since 2003. If Roczen really crushed it this year, he would need 128 to pass James Stewart.
- Chase Sexton will likely lead more laps than Cooper Webb and pass him in the rankings.
250 Class
Starts
This current active 250SX rider with the most starts? Probably would take you a while to guess….its Cole Thompson! Thompson has 59 starts at the moment, one more than Michael Mosiman.
Thompson is currently 27th all-time in 250SX starts:
| Rank | Rider | Starts |
| 1 | Barry Carsten | 119 |
| 2 | Martin Davalos | 106 |
| 3 | Kyle Cunningham | 97 |
| 4 | Greg Schnell | 92 |
| 5 | Mitchell Oldenburg | 85 |
| 6 | Nathan Ramsey | 81 |
| 7 | RJ Hampshire | 77 |
| 8 | Josh Hansen | 76 |
| Jordon Smith | 76 | |
| 10 | Kyle Peters | 75 |
| Alex Martin | 75 | |
| 12 | Mike Brown | 74 |
| Kelly Smith | 74 | |
| Christopher Gosselaar | 74 | |
| 15 | Jimmy Decotis | 71 |
| David Pingree | 71 | |
| 17 | Chris Blose | 70 |
| 18 | Brock Sellards | 69 |
| 19 | Zach Osborne | 68 |
| 20 | Ryan Morais | 67 |
…
| 27 | Cole Thompson | 59 |
| 28 | Michael Mosiman | 58 |
- If Cole Thompson and Michael Mosiman were to race every race in their region and shootouts, they would both move into the Top 10 all time in the class.
Points

| 1 | Martin Davalos | 1,366 |

| 5 | Nathan Ramsey | 1,189 |
| 6 | Mitchell Oldenburg | 1,129 |
| 7 | Mike Brown | 1,084 |
| 8 | Kyle Cunningham | 1,079 |
| 9 | Shane McElrath | 1,035 |
| 10 | Jeremy Martin | 1,010 |
| 11 | Greg Schnell | 1,006 |
| 12 | Zach Osborne | 1,000 |
| 13 | Brock Sellards | 960 |
| 14 | Christian Craig | 914 |
| 15 | Jo Shimoda | 884 |

| 17 | Kyle Peters | 875 |
| 18 | Michael Mosiman | 857 |
| 19 | Cameron McAdoo | 842 |
| 20 | Jimmy Decotis | 839 |
- Jo Shimoda is currently 15th all-time in 250SX points with 884. With a really good year, he could work his way up to potentially Top 7 with a 200 points season. At the very least, he should pass into the Top 10.
- Michael Mosiman and Cameron McAdoo are shortly behind at 857 and 842 could make there way up too.
Wins
| Rank | Rider | Wins |
| 1 | James Stewart | 18 |
| 2 | Nathan Ramsey | 15 |
| 3 | Austin Forkner | 13 |
| Jett Lawrence | 13 | |
| Jeremy McGrath | 13 | |
| 6 | Damon Huffman | 12 |
| Hunter Lawrence | 12 | |
| Eli Tomac | 12 | |
| Justin Barcia | 12 | |
| Ernesto Fonseca | 12 | |
| Ryan Dungey | 12 | |
| Brian Swink | 12 | |
| Kevin Windham | 12 | |
| Christophe Pourcel | 12 | |
| Ricky Carmichael | 12 | |
| 16 | Adam Cianciarulo | 11 |
| Marvin Musquin | 11 | |
| Jeff Matiasevich | 11 | |
| Cooper Webb | 11 | |
| Ryan Villopoto | 11 |
- Austin Forkner is currently tied for 3rd in all-time wins with 13. Only behind James Stewart at 18 and Nathan Ramsey at 15.
- Forkner has the most of any 250SX rider without a regional championship.
- The next highest active rider is Haiden Deegan at 7 wins. A bunch of wins this season could move him up in the all-time rankings for the 250SX class.
Podiums
| Rank | Rider | Podiums |
| 1 | Nathan Ramsey | 33 |
| 2 | Stephane Roncada | 27 |
| Jordon Smith | 27 | |
| 4 | Shane McElrath | 26 |
| RJ Hampshire | 26 | |
| Martin Davalos | 26 | |
| 7 | Jett Lawrence | 23 |
| Jeremy McGrath | 23 | |
| Justin Barcia | 23 | |
| Zach Osborne | 23 | |
| Christian Craig | 23 | |
| Cameron McAdoo | 23 | |
| 13 | Hunter Lawrence | 22 |
| Adam Cianciarulo | 22 | |
| Tim Ferry | 22 | |
| 16 | James Stewart | 21 |
| Austin Forkner | 21 | |
| Damon Huffman | 21 | |
| Eli Tomac | 21 | |
| Marvin Musquin | 21 | |
| Colt Nichols | 21 |
- Not a ton of active riders super high on this list. Cameron McAdoo is the active leader at 23, tied for 7th all-time. 5 Podiums would move him into second all-time.
- 4 would tie him for second.
- 3 would tie him for fourth.
- 1 or 2 would move him into 5th place alone by himself.
- Austin Forkner could move up on the list as well.
- Haiden Deegan has 17 podiums in the 250SX class, a lot of podiums this year could move him up pretty far.
Laps Led since 2003
| Rank | Rider | Laps Lead |
| 1 | Austin Forkner | 321 |
| 2 | Jett Lawrence | 262 |
| 3 | Shane McElrath | 206 |
| 4 | James Stewart | 199 |
| 5 | Justin Barcia | 190 |
| 6 | RJ Hampshire | 180 |
| 7 | Christian Craig | 177 |
| 8 | Adam Cianciarulo | 172 |
| 9 | Hunter Lawrence | 170 |
| 10 | Ryan Villopoto | 164 |
| 11 | Ryan Dungey | 160 |
| 12 | Eli Tomac | 145 |
| 13 | Martin Davalos | 143 |
| 14 | Marvin Musquin | 142 |
| 15 | Cole Seely | 133 |
| 16 | Ivan Tedesco | 121 |
| 17 | Christophe Pourcel | 120 |
| 18 | Zach Osborne | 114 |
| 19 | Jake Weimer | 109 |
| 20 | Colt Nichols | 106 |
Keep in mind this is just since 2003. James Stewart would be higher but we don’t have data for his 2002 season.
- Austin Forkner is the all-time leader at 321 laps led since 2003.
Next active riders:
- Deegan at 97 – 23rd all-time.
- Thrasher at 96 – 24th all-time.
A dominant season could see Haiden Deegan move into the Top 10. A dominant season from really any active 250SX rider would see them move up pretty far for this stat.
Thanks of reading! Hope we have great season of racing in 2026!
