The PulpMX.com Show

Show #601 – Eli Tomac, Cooper Webb, Wil Hahn with Chris Betts and Adam Cianciarulo In-Studio

It’s a post-MXdN show from Vegas. We have Eli Tomas and Cooper Webb, both of Star Racing Monster Yamaha who represented on short notice for Team USA and hauled in a respectable 2nd place at Matterley Basin. They join us to talk about their races and the experience in general. Wil Hahn is on to talk about his new role being a part of Alex Martin’s Troll Training Team. Recently retired racer and fresh-faced broadcaster Adam Cianciarulo is in studio with his partner in crime Chris Betts; agent to the baseball elite! Great show again!!

  1. Ya know I just gotta say what a sigh of relief it it’s to hear Adam bring up how he wishes the tracks would knock the dirt down somehow before practice to avoid such beat up enduro like conditions at the end of the day. Then you saying ya but how? Then tomac agreeing with Adam and stating how if the tracks could not leave the dirt so soft it would allow for a more usable and racey track. Not so follow the leader type of racing. This last year almost exactly a year ago I involved myself into the board of the local motocross track as it was being ran into the ground and it was the only place to ride for my kids and I so I spent a lot of time working the dirt bringing that place back to life and due to embezzlement from past president and a blow up tractor there was no way to work the dirt. And I’m telling ya it was so stupid gnarly beat up and left from the race a month prior it wasn’t really even safe or fun. Were talking a goat trail with watermelon sized dirt clumps on both sides that were hard as a rock. Then I go out and ride one day and noticed the track was all knocked down and rideable. Come to find out Some ol boy came out and found a piece of iron and hooked a chain up to it pulling it behind his truck around yhe entire track! And we found it was way funner to have so much room to hang it out there and race the boys but I never used that method again once I was able to afford to rent a tractor and disc/till. Until this last race we held i had some big clumps the disc wouldn’t knock down so I ran up and hooked up to this makeshift drag and drug it across the dirt ā€œ knocking it down, finishing grooming the trackā€! perfectly!! It was like butter dudes!!! And hearing you guys talk about it is amazing cuz everyone actually got really mad at me and said I ruined the track and fucked them when actually they just don’t know. Most ppl don’t. I know it made the track more usuable and competitive but I had finally had enough of the bs so I quit unfortunately. Over this topic so it feels good to hear them dudes talk about how they wish it could be this way and you wondering how!! Haha me bro!! I’m right here!! I got you! Hit me up and I’ll share my secret! I’m almost betting thunder valley used my idea which is why they had such different conditions this year but all the pros liked it! Well I just so happened to be tagging them in all my track prep videos at the time so it’s possible! But highly unlikely. Ha anyways this was cool. Thanks man, Andrew Averill
