Winning the lottery, the birth of your first child, your wedding day, the rapture. All things which just became a little less important.
The day has come. The seminole side scrolling cycle game for Mac and PC computers has come to your fingertips, literally, on the App Store for your iPhone and iPad.
I’ve said it before but now that it is available to you it bears repeating, Mad Skills MX is the best mobile game ever. Try it for yourself, you’ll see.
I’ve been playing this game for going on 4 months and it still leaves the majority of every other app on my iPhone alienated and covered in dust.
Angry Birds?
They got sucked through the intake and barked out the exhaust as I landed from a double-backflip while schooling Tits Legendary.
Words with Friends?
Can you spell “PWNED by Mad Skills Motocross?”
Fruit Ninja?
Cutting kiwi with a knife? Really? Pffft.
Or
Braaaaping 8 second wheelies, stoppies, backflips, frontflips, figuring out a sick rhythm section and throwing down a crazy fast laptime? Anytime? Anywhere?
Yup, that’s where it’s at.
Beating the computer in Mad Skills Motocross isn’t the objective here. The true satisfaction comes from the integration with Open Feint, the gaming community which allows you to challenge for the leader-board as well as challenge your friends for MSM supremacy. That’s where the addiction lies as well. I held some records on tracks I felt were unbeatable, then HE came in and it got serious. Wil Hahn, in his first week of playing, edged two of those times out, one which I could never regain ownership of 1st place, despite a sociopathic commitment of 900 attempts. The other I did regain my crown, after 1,200 attempts.
Yes, I have a problem but don’t judge, you will as well now that it’s available.
To justify the title of “Best Mobile Game Ever”, a game needs to satisfy some pretty steep criteria, here it is:
1. Obviously it needs to be fun/engaging.
- Check
2. Gameplay needs to be initiated with minimal waiting/setup. Launch and get right into the nuts and bolts of the action.
- Check.
3. Gameplay should allow for committed engagement, or get in for a quick fix and get back to your life. Players choice.
- Check.
4. Gameplay and control mechanisms should be simple to grasp(intuitive).
- Check.
Just go get it. You can buy it on your iPhone or iPad, play the one copy on both devices and use the same Open Feint account on both devices.
It’s available at an introductory price of $1.99 which is just silly.
I could continue to talk it up but playing it just sells itself and let’s keep it real here, Pulp “readers” aren’t real big on reading.
